Lab Records
That Stand Out

A practical record keeping structure for tissue culture laboratories, from media preparation to dispatch. Leave with fillable templates you can use in your lab right away.

Reserve your seat Seats are limited. Recording included.

Most labs don't lose plants to bad luck. They lose them to bad records.

  • A contamination hits a batch and nobody can say which media was used.
  • Handwritten logs are lost, unreadable or filled in days later.
  • Batches cannot be traced from the mother plant to dispatch.
  • Data exists, but nobody turns it into a report that guides decisions.
The structure

One record trail, end to end

You will learn how every record links to the one before it, so any batch can be traced in minutes instead of hours.

  4. 4Rooting

Session outline

90 minutes, built around your daily work

10 min

Why lab records fail

The common gaps: missing batch links, delayed entries and records nobody can search when a problem appears.

30 min

The record structure

What to record at each stage, who signs, and how batch numbers connect media, culture stages and dispatch.

25 min

Filling the templates, live

A worked example with the fillable PDFs, from the media preparation checklist to the contamination sheet.

10 min

Making it stick

Naming conventions, filing, review routines and how to train your team to keep records properly.

15 min

Kiini and Lab Intelligence Suite walkthrough, then Q&A

What the same structure looks like when records are digital, plus your questions.

What you receive

A fillable template pack for your lab

Type straight into the PDFs, save one copy per batch, and print when you need a signature. Each sheet has space for your own lab name and logo.

Templates are designed to be adapted to your lab's own procedures and quality system.

After the session

From paper records to a digital system

The templates give your lab a structure. When you are ready to move it online, you will see two tools built on exactly the same structure.

Production records and traceability

Kiini

The core of your lab's records.

  • A QR label on every plant, scanned to see its full history
  • Media, initiation, multiplication, rooting and dispatch records
  • Contamination and virus cleaning tracking
  • Traceability from mother plant to dispatch
  • Reports you can download as Excel or PDF
The whole lab

Lab Intelligence Suite

Production, customers, testing and sample submission in one system.

  • Production, from mother plants to dispatch
  • Customers and orders
  • Lab testing, results and printed reports
  • A sample submission portal for your customers
  • Multiple users with role-based access

Questions

Good to know

Is the session live or recorded?

It is live online, about 90 minutes, with time for questions. Everyone who registers also receives the recording.

I am outside Kenya. Is this still useful?

Yes. The record structure applies to any tissue culture lab, and the templates are written in plain English so you can adapt them to your own procedures.

Do the templates meet a specific standard or certification?

They are practical working tools, not a certified system. Use them as a base and align them with your lab's own quality requirements.

How do I register and pay?

Choose your ticket and fill in the form. Your registration opens in WhatsApp, ready to send. Once we receive it, we reply with your payment link and the session details.

Can my whole lab attend?

Yes. Choose the lab team ticket for up to 5 people, and add their names in the notes field.

What are Kiini and the Lab Intelligence Suite?

Kiini is a records and traceability tool for tissue culture production. The Lab Intelligence Suite covers the whole lab, including customers, testing and a sample submission portal. In the last part of the session you will see how the paper record structure looks when it is digital. Both are optional, and you are never required to buy either.
